Bringing Food, Joy and Hope to Children This Christmas

Background

For many children and families living in vulnerable communities, the Christmas season can be a difficult time. While others celebrate with food, gifts and family gatherings, many children may have very little to look forward to. Feeding Hope is a community initiative of Uthabiti Africa Foundation designed to bring children together for a day of food, fun, dignity and hope.

Uthabiti Africa works to strengthen systems that help children and families thrive, with childcare and community wellbeing at the heart of its work.

The Initiative

In November 2026, Uthabiti Africa Foundation will host a special Feeding Hope community event in Nairobi, bringing together vulnerable children, families, volunteers, community organisations and partners for a day of celebration.

The event will provide children with a nutritious meal, entertainment, games and activities, while creating an opportunity for partners and well-wishers to demonstrate care and solidarity with children in need.

Our Goal

We aim to mobilise partners and well-wishers to help us provide:

• A hot, nutritious meal for children
• Food and essential items for selected vulnerable families
• Games, entertainment and activities for children
• A joyful and safe Christmas experience
• Volunteers and community partners to support the event

Partnership Opportunity

Feeding Hope is an opportunity for companies, foundations, individuals, artists, community organisations and other partners to come together and put food on a child’s plate and hope in a child’s heart.

We welcome partners who can contribute food, funds, gifts, entertainment, logistics, media support or volunteer time.

Together, we can make this Christmas a little brighter for children who need it most.
