A policy dialogue with government actors and civil society to reflect on regulatory reforms and implementation pathways.
In November 2024, CAC partners convened a policy dialogue focused on strengthening childcare regulation and implementation pathways.
Government actors and civil society reflected on what enables quality and affordability in practice—how standards can protect children without excluding the providers families rely on, and how reforms travel from paper to delivery.
The dialogue reinforced CAC’s principle of recognising partner contributions and trusting national and county governments as key coordinating leaders. Insights from the session continue to inform the Legal, Policy and Regulatory Reforms Technical Working Group.
Past convenings like this one remain a reference point for members: honest conversation, shared evidence, and a bias toward actionable next steps.
