Women in Childcare TWG
Advances the dignity, leadership, and economic empowerment of women working across the childcare sector.
Women form the backbone of childcare provision across Africa—yet their labour is too often informal, undervalued, and under-supported. The Women in Childcare Technical Working Group exists to change that.
The TWG advances dignified work, leadership opportunities, and gender-responsive systems so that women who deliver care can thrive—and children receive consistent, quality nurturing care.
Members collaborate on practical interventions: strengthening enterprises, elevating workforce standards, sharing tools, and aligning advocacy that keeps both children and care workers in view.
